Master Tara Cox has trained since 1980 and earned her black belt in 1991. A 9th-degree black belt in the Chuck Norris System under the United Fighting Arts Federation, she has run her own school for 29 years, won Female Competitor of the Year (1998), Instructor of the Year (2002), the Wieland Norris Award from Grand Master Chuck Norris himself (2011), and School of the Year in 2006 and again in 2024. She was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2003 and serves on the UFAF board as Director of Operations and, since February 2026, Executive Vice President.
